Astropoetica Submissions Update

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

We will be reopening to submissions on March 1, 2008. Those of you who have already submitted work this year need not panic. I will still consider all submissions received to date. However, as the next issue is already full, I will be reading for the summer/fall issues.

Our guidelines remain largely unchanged except for one new point: we now allow simultaneous submissions. It seems silly not to, and given the recent variability in our response times, almost cruel.

I look forward to seeing your work in March.

Astropoetica 6.1: Winter 2008

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

In honor of my little co-editor’s four-month birthday, I am pleased to announce the launch of Astropoetica’s Winter Issue, featuring:

Did I say Fall?

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Proofs for the Fall 2007/Where did the time go?/Oh yeah, 4th trimester/Winter 2008 issue are now out. Despite Arden’s new trick of kicking my keyboard out of my lap, I think I will finally have a new issue of Astropoetica up this week.

Some of you have asked when we will be opening to new submissions, and while I don’t have a firm date for you yet, know that I am tweaking our current guidelines to hopefully make things more fair for submitters. I have enough in inventory to fill the spring (let’s hope it’s spring) issue, and I’d like to spare the rest of you an epic wait for publication.

More later…
