Waelsleaht is the only thing that comes to mind when I try to explain the latter half of 2006.
Rather than offer justifications and excuses for the current state of Astropoetica, I would much rather offer an up-to-date site. While I am working to make this happen, you may find the following status report helpful:
- Astropoetica was hacked last week. Suffice it to say, the whole affair was mortifying, and I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have visited the site while it was compromised. I believe my host has since restored everything to its more innocent June 2006 state. I did have some temporary issues recovering mail, which I believe have been resolved.
- The mail. As of yesterday, I had 2,000 emails to sort through. As the vast majority of these were spam not caught by my filter, I have managed to whittle this down to about 200. I hope to take care of these this weekend.
- The much delayed Summer-Fall-Winter issue is coming. I had most of the summer issue done when chaos struck, but considering how long some of you have waited to see your work published, I think it would be more fair if I expanded the issue. That said, there are some other issues to take into consideration. I’ll provide more details after I have a better idea of what’s in those 200 unanswered emails.
I apologize for the radio silence, and I ask that you allow me to abuse your patience just a little longer.
